Elephant back riding places you in the overpowering sphere of their majesty because of their enormity with yet gracious movements. Here you can enjoy the sensation of feeding these large mammals and inhale mother nature with the intimate interaction of brushing and grooming as well as walking them hand in trunk in the forest.
The Elephant programs are undertaken by fully trained elephant guides who use positive reinforcement animal management - bringing about relaxed animals, enjoying themselves interacting with the guests

Accommodation adjoins the Elephant stables. There is a treehouse deck to observe Elephants swimming and don't forget to visit the Curio shop or take a dip in the secluded swimming pool in the forest (few steps away from Lodge)
• The Bush Lodge: (6 Suites)
Situated approximately 100m from the Main Lodge, the luxurious Bush Lodge is designed for outdoor living with a Licensed Bar,Lounge and Pool. Suites lead out onto main living area.
Checking in at 16h00 allows overnight visitors time for observing the Elephants from the main deck until they get stabled for the night, followed by sundowners on the Mountain deck. After a 4 course meal, guests can relax around a log fire embracing the silence of the night.
As the giant of the S.A. Big 5, the experience of riding an Elephant is on top of the thrill list for what to do when in Hartebeespoort dam. Two other Elephant Sanctuaries can be visited at Hazyview - Province of Mpumalanga and Plettenberg Bay - Western Cape Province where these beautiful animal are kept safe in their natural habitat.
