Route 62 Farmstall & Restaurant

Montagu, Breede River Valley - Things to do

OVERVIEW:

Ask any KKNK lover what to do in Montagu and they'll point you to the subtle and previously underrated huge acre of land that was once an apricot orchid. Ask for the best traditionally inspired cuisine, the best food stalls and the most scrumptious homemade baked goodies and they'll direct you straight to the courts of Route 62 farm Stall. Known to many as Die Kloof Padstal, this restaurant and food stall has become synonymous with leisure, good food and family times over the years.

Then and now, an extreme make-over

It's the classical make over story of a Montagu food and beverage stop over and farm stall. With a journey that starts in 1980, this farm stall along the famous Route has been sculpted from apricot farm to fruit and veg market to a dormant place and today it has been revised as a go-to place along the Garden Route especially towards the time of the KKNK hustle and bustle. Today Die Kloof Padstal opens its child, animal and disability friendly doors to guests, locals and tourists from all over the world.

A world renowned restaurant with a platter of local and international cuisine sends an invitation to all and the food stalls makes sure you can get anything in a jar as a souvenir for your trip. Long walks along the garden and sunset strolls complete the visit while you get an unrestricted view of the Keisie River and the towering Mountains of Bloupunt. A guitar strums across the 150 Square metre vicinity from the live band that entertains every now and then. With kids tucked away in their play area on their racetracks, sandpit and jungle gym, the adults can enjoy doing adult stuff like scouting for the stall's hand crafted goods such as mugs, stationary and stickers. So now you what to do in Montagu!
