Greyton, Overberg - Things to do

Greyton is picture-perfect and a haven for artists and like-minded souls who appreciate the gifts that Mother Nature has bestowed.

The essence of this peaceful hamlet with its Cape Vernacular architectural environment is largely intact. The out-of-context and unresponsive development that has destroyed so many small towns has up to now passed Greyton by.

Oak-lined streets and lush country gardens compliment pretty thatched roof houses and friendly locals sit chatting to visitors at sidewalk tables; such is the nature of life in Greyton.

Nature beckons... there are many scenic hikes in and around Greyton, or you can take a leisurely pedal through the village before heading out towards the mountain paths that lead to cool crevasses and fern-lush ponds. Hiking, mountain-biking and horse-riding are favourite pastimes in Greyton.
