The fantastic Woordfees (Festival of the Word) has captivated the scenic town of Stellenbosch annually. The unique festival is a celebration of Afrikaans in the arts of literature, drama and music. And the events include entertaining music to innovative drama and moving poetry to fascinating exhibitions. The literary program features debates, talks and readings. Applications for artists, authors, and publishers are available each year.
Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour
For all those cycling enthusiasts the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle tour is definitely not to be missed, and although most have already started training, the Argus is also for those who just want to ride along and enjoy the scenic ride. Families of the cyclists can also enjoy themselves, as a carnival including hospitality tents, entertainment and guaranteed fun awaits the cyclists, their families and friends at Green Point Stadium.
