Earthbound Guest House Review
Located in a quiet neighbourhood, in Oudtshoorn lies Earthbound Guesthouse. This accommodation is 3 star TGCSA graded. Earthbound offers guests modern individually decorated rooms with all facilities and friendly staff. For relaxation enjoy the sparkling pool in the centre of the lovely garden and get the feeling of life in the country. They can even offer tips on what to see and do nearby.
This bed and breakfast is in South Africa’s Klein Karoo Region or Garden Route Area. Situated in a quiet and safe residential area, less than 1.5km from the town centre and main road leading to the famous Cango Caves, Swartberg Pass and restaurants.
They offer three different rooms; one is a standard en suite double room with an undercover sitting area which also is the breakfast corner. The second is a luxury en suite double room with dressing room and adjacent breakfast room. The third is a superior en suite double room with a bath and shower as well as an undercover sitting area.
When staying at a Guest House some things I just have to have in my room and Earthbound B&B has it all, such as Dstv, air conditioning, fan, heater, hairdryer, coffee and tea making facilities. Some things that I don’t normally expect but Earthbound Guesthouse amazingly has is bathrobes and slippers – perfect to get comfy in, and a welcome sherry and good-night chocolates, just puts the icing on top of this wonderful B&B.
Even if Oudtshoorn wasn’t on your original plan, I think it is a great stop especially since there is so much to do around Oudtshoorn, such as the Cango Wildlife Farm, Swartberg Pass, Cango Caves, Cango Ostrich Farm, Buffelsdrift Game Farm, Wilgewandel, Safari Ostrich Farm, Meerkat Magic and plenty of Museums.
If you prefer a leisurely holiday, then you can also enjoy relaxing in the wonderful garden, reading a book by the swimming pool.
It really is a great stay, everything from the beautiful decor, the surroundings, the friendly owner and the breakfast is great.
