The premises are secure and only accessible via a security gate with safe parking for your vehicle.

Jan Kempdorp is an agricultural town situated in the centre of the Vaalharts Irrigation Scheme in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. It is situated 96 kilometres north of Kimberley, the provincial capital, and 43 kilometres west of Christiana in North West province.

The grave sites of German and other soldiers from the Second World War can be found at Jan Kempdorp, a worthy stop for history lovers. When in town, make it a point to visit the charming Vaalharts museum that covers the history of the region as well as Ganspan Nature Reserve, which lies ten kilometres southwest of the town and was developed specifically to provide a home for aquatic birds.
