Clanwilliam is one of the ten oldest towns in South Africa and was founded in 1732. The town is situated at the base of the Cederberg Mountains and is a central point to an array of attractions including bushman art, flower viewing and even water sports. The town is also well known for its leather "Veldskoene' factory and growing and cultivating Rooibos tea.
There are thirty-eight bedrooms at Clanwilliam Hotel and they are all air-conditioned and have bathrooms en suite with showers. Some of the bedrooms at the hotel are also self-catering.
