This Paulpietersburg accommodation is situated on a 1200 ha Game Farm located in Northern Kwazulu Natal, between Vryheid and Paulpietersburg. There are over twenty antelope species to be found on the property, as well as white rhino, Cape Buffalo, Giraffe, Bushpig, Nyala, Zebra, Springbok (Normal and Black), Kudu, Impala, Eland, Steenbuck, Waterbuck, Duiker, Black Wildebeest, Hartebeest, Oryx, Mountain and Common Reedbuck, Bushbuck and Blesbuck. The elusive Aardvark, Pangolin and Honey Badger also occur in the area.

Brown hyena, Genet, Black-backed jackal, Caracal, and African Wildcat are also occasionally sighted near this accommodation in Paulpietersburg.

This area boasts over 200 bird species. These include raptors such as Snake Eagles, Buzzards and Secretary Birds as well as various different Kingfishers, Hornbills and Sunbirds.

Basangoma Game Ranch offers a luxury chalet with spectacular views of the surrounding bush and mountains. The chalet comprises of two en suite bedrooms (2 single beds per room). The open plan kitchen/lounge is fully equipped for self-catering and includes all crockery.

There is a four burner gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge/ freezer. Dishwashing liquid and dishcloths are provided. All bed linen, bath towels and soaps are provided in the chalet. Please bring your own swimming towels. There is a TV and DVD player in the lounge as well as a fireplace, wood is supplied for the portable braai/BBQ on the outside patio.
